Man charged with first degree domestic violence



Romeo R. Daniels III, 33, of Carolina Avenue was arrested on April 7 and charged with first degree domestic violence for allegedly choking and hitting a 36-year-old woman between 12:23 and 1 p.m. on March 16. According to an incident report from Sumter Police Department, a witness observed Daniels attacking the woman. The victim was taken to Palmetto Health Tuomey hospital where she was treated and released.

William L. Armstrong II, 33, of 287 Tigerlilly Road, was arrested on March 16 and charged with larceny for allegedly taking his estranged girlfriend's purse and vehicle keys following an argument while in the 800 block of Broad Street between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

Rayshawn J. Morris, 27, of 1890 Amberwood Drive, was arrested on Sunday and charged with grand larceny for allegedly taking $10,000 in cash from a guest who was sleeping at his residence on April 3. According to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Morris reportedly spent $4,000 on a vehicle and had the remaining $6,000 on his person. The release states that Morris texted and harassed the victim throughout the day.

Heather Adeeb, 35, last known address 1050 Bo Smith Road, Lamar, was arrested on April 6 and charged with second degree burglary and operating a vehicle without permission for allegedly taking approximately $1,600 in household goods, clothing and tools from a residence in the 2600 block of Stern Drive, Sumter, and transporting the items in a vehicle without the owner's consent on March 3.

Keyonte M. McGee, 26, of 21 Habitat Court, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with strong arm robbery for allegedly taking $300 in cash and $6,300 in jewelry from a victim while in the 3800 block of Broad Street on Jan. 15.
