Man arrested and charged with six counts of forgery

CHARGES

Kevin E. Pitts, 35, of 295 Arbella Drive, Wedgefield, was arrested on Monday and charged with six counts of forgery of less than $10,000 for allegedly forging the victim's name on checks in the amounts of $9,300; $4,500, $4,800, $7,500, $4,850 and $8,640 - $35,590 in total - and depositing the checks at a bank.

STOLEN PROPERTY

A 2001 Yamaha four-wheeler valued at $7,000 was reportedly stolen while it was parked at a residence in the 2600 block of Underwood Road between 4 and 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

A burgundy 1998 Ford Ranger valued at $7,000 was reportedly stolen while it was parked at a residence in the 3100 block of Brittany Drive between noon on Monday and 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

A white 1996 Cadillac DeVille valued at $1,000 was reportedly stolen while it was parked at a residence in the 200 block of Tullah Drive between 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

A black model 442 .38-caliber hammerless Smith & Wesson revolver valued at $450 was reportedly stolen from a blue 2013 Chevrolet Malibu while the vehicle was parked at a residence on Lawton Circle between 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

An S&K wet saw valued at $300; 20 Craftsman mechanic hand tools valued at $400; 20 small torque wrenches valued at $3,000; and 20 large torque wrenches valued at $5,000 were reportedly stolen from a business in the 100 block of South Lafayette Drive between 8 a.m. on Monday and 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
