MINNIE M. MAYRANT

Minnie Miller Mayrant, 85, widow of Allen Mayrant, departed this earthly life on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.

Born on March 16, 1933, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Helen Young Miller. She later met and married the late Joseph Crim. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Rafting Creek Baptist Church. After marriage, she joined Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Rembert, and later moved her membership to Greater Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter, where she was a member of the senior gospel choir and missionary board.

Minnie leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Allen Mayrant Jr. of Washington, D.C., Stella (Roosevelt) Mack and Barbara Mayrant of Rembert, Shirley (Darryl) Jenkins of Accokeek, Maryland, and Gloria Addison of Georgia; one sister, Queen Dennis; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 6110 Catawba Lane, Rembert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 7355 Camden Highway, Rembert, with the Rev. Anthony L. Taylor Sr., pastor, and the Rev. Michael Clea, eulogist.

The funeral procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. from the home.

Burial will be at the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Churchyard Cemetery.
