Max is an energetic hunk of love

Max, 4 to 5 years old, is a great big hunk of love. This large, mixed breed boy is gentle and attentive with volunteers. We are unsure about how he would feel about living with other dogs. We would recommend a family with kids older than 10 due to his large size. Max has a good amount of energy, so a single person or family who jogs and lives an active lifestyle would be a great match. If you've ever sat down next to a big dog and given him a hug, you know just how comforting a big boy can be. We want Max to have his people and know he will make a wonderful pet. He is in kennel 21 at Sumter Animal Control, 1240 Winkles Road. As with all of our adoptable dogs, we do require a spay or neuter agreement, and it is strictly enforced. Proof of spay / neuter after adoption will be required. We have many other adoptable dogs as well as animals who were found and are waiting for their owners to claim them.
