MARIE MONTIETH
SPARTANBURG - Marie Elizabeth Montieth, 74, of Spartanburg, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Windsor House.
Ms. Montieth was a native of Boiling Springs and a daughter of the late Frank Sherman Sr. and Elsie Petty Montieth. She was a retired high school teacher and a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and held degrees from North Greenville Junior College, Furman University and the University of South Carolina.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa Henderson Stewart of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Deana Henderson Jowers of Lucas, Texas, and Marla Henderson Ross of Boiling Springs; brother, Frank Montieth; sisters, Kay Scruggs, Peggy Montieth and Lynn Wall; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Bobby Lindsey and the Rev. Allen Dean Blanton.
The family will meet friends in the atrium following the service.
