Maria was a friendly person and never met a stranger. She loved flowers, wind chimes and her pets. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Neal and Angela Prushan and her husband, Lee, all of Sumter; daughter-in-law, Christina Phillips-Hanson of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren, Cameron Neal and Kyla Phillips.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Phillips Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bullock Funeral Home.
Services will be private.
