Man charged with violating restraining order

CHARGES

Charlton E. Fullard, 33, of 21 Highland Ave., was arrested on Friday and charged with violating a restraining order after officers reportedly found him sitting outside a residence where the victim was staying at about 10:30 a.m. that day.

Desmond Tyson, 27, last known address 200 block of Rolling Creek Drive, was arrested on Friday and charged with second-degree domestic violence for allegedly fighting with and choking the victim after being served an eviction notice while in the 200 block of Rolling Creek Drive. According to an incident report from Sumter Police Department, Tyson also caused approximately $500 in damage to the victim's vehicle while attempting to take it.

STOLEN PROPERTY

Two tractor tires and rims valued at $1,500 were reportedly stolen from a field in the 5800 block of Martinville Church Road about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

A green 2004 Buick Regal valued at $2,000 was reportedly stolen while parked in the 2000 block of North Main Street on Friday.

A green 1994 Ford Ranger valued at $900 was reportedly stolen while parked in the 2600 block of McCrays Mill Road between 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday 10:45 a.m. on Sunday.

An orange Husqvarna weed trimmer valued at $500 was reportedly stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Commander Court between 8 a.m. on Saturday and 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.

A 49-inch LG flat-screen TV valued at $500 was reportedly stolen from a room at a hotel in the 2400 block of Broad Street between 10:30 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.

A silver MacBook Pro valued at $1,800 was reportedly stolen from a 2012 Toyota Tacoma while parked in the 100 block of Mason Croft Drive between 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 2 a.m. on Thursday.

DAMAGED PROPERTY

An above-ground swimming pool in the 1000 block of Yankee Drive reportedly sustained approximately $2,000 in damage on Saturday.
