Man allegedly exposes himself to teenager


A local man is facing criminal charges after allegedly having inappropriate contact with a minor.

Antonio Jermaine Scott, 30, of 119 Woodlawn Ave., was arrested on Friday and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, third degree, for allegedly exposing himself to a teenaged girl and attempting to make her touch him on Aug. 2, according to a news release from Sumter Police Department.

The incident happened at a Washington Street business.

Scott was booked at Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center and has since been released after posting bond and complying with ordered electronic monitoring, according to the release.

Scott's surety bond was set at $45,000, according to Sumter County Third Judicial Circuit's website. The investigation is continuing.
