Man, 60, charged with taking $1,100 worth of items from Sumter home

Sumter County Sheriff's Office arrested a 60-year-old man Sunday for allegedly taking hundreds of dollars worth of items from a residence in July.

Alexander Williams, of Murphy Street, is charged with petit larceny for reportedly taking various items valued at $1,100 from a residence in the 30 block of Murphy Street on July 11.

A news release states Williams admitted to taking some of the items.

He was transported to Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
