Louise McDuffie Vaughn, 88, entered her eternal rest on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born on Feb. 10, 1930, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Havtzel McDuffie and Sara Wright McDuffie Johnson. Mrs. Vaughn attended Clarks United Methodist Church, until her passing.

She leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Sarah Vaughn of the home, Jannie (Leroy) Myers and William (Ella) Vaughn II, both of Sumter, James Vaughn, Marion Vaughn of the home and Rosa (John) Myers of Sumter; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John McDuffie and Leroy Johnson (Mildred); one sister, Maybell Willis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 3775 Oswego Highway, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Clarks United Methodist Church, 2980 U.S. 401 North (Oswego Highway), Sumter, with the Rev. Franklin Garrett, pastor, and the Rev. Willie Lawson, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. for viewing until time of services.

The procession will leave at 1:20 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Clarks United Methodist Churchyard Cemetery.
