Three Laurence Manning Academy students attended the National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore STEM program this summer. It was a six-day experience for students to learn by doing as they participated in hands-on simulations, workshops and competitions. The program encourages participating students to become the next generations of innovators, engineers, doctors, software developers, mathematicians and physicists.
Karley Brown, Autumn Carey and Vivian Bryant were able to meet students from across the country and talk about travel to Mars with an astronaut from NASA. Each student had her leadership potential assessed and strengths and weaknesses identified.
