LARRY R. CRESS

Larry Royce Cress, age 83, husband to Kay Church Cress, died on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Pound, Virginia, he was the son of the late Mathius and Alpha Bolling Cress.

Larry was a veteran of the Korean War and World War, II - he served three years in the U.S. Army followed by 17.5 years in the United States Air Force.

He was a man of faith, a devoted husband and loving father.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Kay Cress; his daughter, Tina Cress of Sumter; a sister in Apple Valley, California; and a brother in Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Cress, two brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob White officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
