Karl Frederick Schuhly Sr., 81, husband of the late Betty Graham Schuhly, died on Monday, May 7, 2018, at his home.

Born on March 30, 1937, in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Frederick and Mildred Schuhly. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a Korean War veteran. He also retired from Crescent Tool. He was a member and past worshipful master of the Sumter Masonic Lodge. He was a Shriner and member of the York Rites.

Survivors include a son, Ricky Schuhly (Laura) of Dalzell; three grandchildren, Cody Schuhly, Kyle Schuhly (Sara) and Sandi Kee (Alex); two great-grandchildren, Ayden Schuhly and Xan Kee; and a brother, Ernie Schuhly of Baltimore.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, his twin, Evelyn Uhden, and Erma Snyder.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Ron Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the home of his granddaughter, 2570 Foxcroft Circle.
