Joyce Rogers Hodge, 76, widow of Harmon P. Hodge Sr., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born Jan. 31, 1941 in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Etson C. Rogers and Annie McLeod Rogers. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Garner of Alcoclu, and Bonnie Oxendine of Kannapolis, North Carolina; four brothers, Allen Rogers (Beverly), Delano Rogers (Rosa), Elvin Rogers (Rose), and Paul Rogers, all of Sumter; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harmon P. Hodge Jr; a daughter, Shelby Green; a granddaughter, Tina Berry; two sisters, Ann Scarborough and Mary Varner; and three brothers, Lewis Rogers, Gilbert Rogers, and Leverne Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dell Morris, Joey Amerson, Terrence Berry, Garrick Shipman, Tammy Kirton and Josh Ridgill.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other time at the home, 4855 Huckabee Road.
