JOE BOY NEALEY

Posted

Joe Boy Nealey was born on Jan. 5, 1939, in Chadburn, North Carolina, and passed peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. He was a son of Carson E. and Lilly Long Nealey.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sherry B. Nealey; and son, Ricky Dean Nealey.

Survivors include his children, Barbie Nadine Sawyer, Michael R. Leviner and his wife, Crystal Leviner, and Robbie C. Leviner and his wife, Chasity Brown. Joe also leaves behind: siblings, Jerry Nealey and his wife, Karen Nealey, Tony Nealey and his wife, Patricia Nealey, and Margaret Nealey Silvia and her husband, Rudolpho Silvia; his beloved grandchildren, Amanda Sawyer, Jessica Sawyer, Jasmine Winslow, Chasity Anderson, Mitchell Leviner, Jae Leviner, Catelyn Leviner, Blake Leviner, Staten Baker, Braden Baker, Tristan Leviner and Skylar Watford; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

Joe Boy received his prized education of hard knocks (as he would call it) through his cherished years in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country and spoke often of his time in the service of beloved brotherhood. In life, Joe was an independent thinker and an extremely hard working man. He believed in a handshake and that a man was only as good as his word. Joe was the sole proprietor and CEO of numerous companies over the years and prided himself greatly on servicing the community. T&N Septic Tank would go on to be his greatest entrepreneurial legacy of 60 years that he proudly ran with his son, Michael R. Leviner, for the last 25 years.

One month to the day, Joe was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sherry B. Best friends, partners and soul mates, the two continue their "Johnny and June" love story eternally.

We love you, Joe Boy.
