GABLE - Jenkins Cooper, 73, husband of Deloris Hodge Cooper, died on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at his residence, 960 One Mile Road, Gable.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1944, in Sumter, a son of the late James J. and Sarah Hudson Cooper.
Masonic Rites with Golden Gate Masonic Lodge 78 will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning.
Funeral services for Mr. Cooper will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Melina Presbyterian Church, 3539 Black River Road, Gable, with the Rev. Samuel Sparks, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the churchyard cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at his residence.
