Isaac leads Alice Drive over Bates 48-43


Nakeem Isaac scored 24 points to lead Alice Drive Middle School to 48-43 boys basketball victory over Bates on Thursday at the AD gymnasium.

Joseph Durant added 13 points, five assists and five steals for the Hawks, who improved to 8-1 on the season. Marquis Lane-Owens had five points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Correan Nelson had 15 points to lead the Bantams. Zyeir Gamble added 13 points.

BISHOPVILLE - Wilson Hall improved to 5-6 with a 52-27 victory over Robert E. Lee Academy on Wednesday at the REL gymnasium.

Graham Van Patten and Daulton Dabbs led a balanced scoring attack with eight points apiece. Jacob Cotton and Chandler Scott both had six.

Gavin Melton led the Cavaliers with six points.

On Tuesday in Columbia, Wilson Hall lost to Hammond 52-25. Grant DeVarona led WH with five points.

Brandon Burns led the Generals with 10 points. Sammy Kessinger had nine, James Parrish eight and Landon DeLavan and Randall Bock both had six.

On Tuesday in Florence, TSA defeated The King's Academy 42-12. Burns led the Generals with 10 points. Parrish had seven, while DeLavan and Landyn Stevens both had six.

MANNING - Laurence Manning Academy improved to 2-0 with a 32-26 victory over Wilson Hall on Thursday at Bubba Davis Gymnasium.

Coleman Yates led the Swampcats with 12 points. Brandon King added nine.

Jackson Duvall led the 6-3 Barons with eight points. Dylan Richardson added seven.

On Wednesday in Manning, LMA defeated Orangeburg Prep 40-12. King led Laurence Manning 10 points. Jackson Campbell had eight and Nicky Jordan had five assists to go with four points.

COLUMBIA - Sumter High School improved to 5-0 with a 36-35 victory over Gray Collegiate on Thursday at the GC gymnasium.

Devin Boston led the Gamecocks with 11 points. Tre Brunson added 10 points and eight rebounds, while Jonathan price had seven points and four assists.

Nathan Harris led the Barons with 12 points. Evan Hoffman added five points, the final five of the game for WH.
