Celestino A. Gozalez Jr., 24, of 4400 Rosewood Drive, was arrested on Sunday and charged with first-degree burglary for allegedly forcing his way into a dwelling in the 3000 block of Eydie Street, Dalzell, on Aug. 13. According to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Gonzalez, who was armed with a handgun, allegedly entered the residence with a co-defendant and was shot by the homeowner during the incident. The injury was not life threatening.
Frank D. Montgomery, 24, of 4340 Livingwood Drive, was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with first-degree burglary for allegedly forcing his way into a residence in the 3000 block of Eydie Street, Dalzell, on Aug. 13. According to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Montgomery allegedly acted with a co-defendant.
A .40-caliber Blue Line Edition SIG Pro 2340 firearm valued at $400 and a black Black Eagle hip holster valued at $100 were reportedly stolen from a 2005 GMC Sierra while parked in the 1200 block of Kolb Road between midnight and 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
An HP flat-screen TV valued at $500 and a Sony Blu-ray player valued at $100 were reportedly stolen from a residence in the 2300 block of Equinox Avenue, Dalzell, between 7:30 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. on Friday. According to an incident report from Sumter County Sheriff's Office, approximately $250 in damage was caused to the front door and front door frame of the residence during the alleged incident.

Five-hundred 9 mm rounds valued at $110; a tackle bag, unknown make, valued at $150; $100 in Girl Scout cookies; and a white Yeti Roadie cooler valued at $350 were reportedly stolen from a residence in the 1200 block of Fallingwater Lane between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday.
