MURRELLS INLET - Frances Eugenia Green and Benjamin Walker Black, both of Greenville, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellie Woodrow Green Jr. of Lynchburg, and the granddaughter of Mr. James Carradine Epps Jr. and the late Mrs. Frances Shellhouse Epps of Columbia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellie Woodrow Green of Lynchburg. She graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a registered nurse employed at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Lesley Reams Moore and Mr. Robert David Black, both of Greenville, and the grandson of Mr. James Furman Black and the late Mrs. Alma Crowe Black of Anderson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julian Adair Moore of Front Royal, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Art in Economics. He is employed as a financial analyst with ZF Transmissions.

The Rev. Dr. B. Mike Alexander and the Rev. Jim Ridenhour officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Mr. Evan Wesley Currie, organist, and Mr. James Canty, trumpeter.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line gown of silk taffeta with a boat-neck lace bodice, lace-covered buttons and a semi-cathedral train. The gown was complemented with a cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas with white O'Hara and peach Juliet garden roses.

Mary Suzanne Green, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Margaret Wilds Harkness; Mrs. Elizabeth Miller Proctor; Mrs. Adair Black Patterson, sister of the bridegroom; Virginia Cochran Reed; Mrs. Julia Lawson Taylor; and Mrs. Claire Peyton Webber. Kaitlyn Anne Madden, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Taylor Lauderdale Cook; Mr. Ellie Weston Green, brother of the bride; Mr. James Durham Hill; Mr. Brooks Thomas Patterson; Mr. Lewis Robert Stover; and Mr. Gregory Phillip Vaughan Jr.

Also participating were Mrs. Virginia Hirschey Cook and Caroline Evelyn Calder, friends of the couple, and Peyton Raye Langston, Taylor Isabelle Langston and Mary Elizabeth Morris, cousins of the bride.

The bride's parents held the reception at Kimbels at Wachesaw Plantation Club.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at Litchfield Country Club.

Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in Greenville.
