GERTRUDE W. DIX
Gertrude Wulf Geyer Dix, age 88, beloved wife of the late Robert W. Geyer Sr. and the late Gerald Johnson Dix, died on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Covenant Place.
Born to William Howard Wulf and Agnes Lacey Wulf on June 28, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gertrude loved to play golf. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was very outgoing and enjoyed many friendships throughout her life. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are: two sons, Robert W. Geyer Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Lexington, and Edward H. Geyer of St. Louis, Missouri; and one daughter, Susan Geyer Smith, of Scottdale, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Kelly Miller and her husband, Brian, Erin Kesterson and her husband, Matt, Laura Moran and her husband, Danny, Lisa Geyer, Matt Geyer and his wife, Jenn, Julie Geyer, Jessica Smith and her husband, Jim, Tom Smith, and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
