POLICE BLOTTER: 19-year-olds arrested in fanny pack, $800 theft

Marcus Hakeem Battles, 19, of Camden Road, and Jerime Shyheed Tindal, 19, of Brohum Camp Road in Wedgefield, were arrested on Thursday and charged with strong armed robbery for allegedly taking a fanny pack containing $800 and an S.C. identification card from the victim while on McKeiver Road on May 4. Battles and Tindal are also accused of pushing the victim off his bicycle and assaulting him, according to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

Dwauntrez Chrishaud Keith, 31, of North Main Street, was arrested on Thursday and charged with grand larceny for allegedly taking items worth $35,600 - a silver 2010 Chevrolet C2500 truck, a 2013 Lawrimore 10-foot trailer, a black two-axle trailer, a 2012 John Deere Gator, a green-and-yellow John Deere lawn mower and a Craftsman air compressor - from a location in the 5000 block of Florence Highway between April 14 and April 15. A news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office states Keith, who acted with co-defendants, was identified by a fingerprint left at the scene.
