EVA MAE BURCH

Eva Mae Burch was born on June 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Virlene Bessie Abraham and Davie Hickmon. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 4, 2018, after an extended illness.

Ms. Burch received her formal education from the public schools of Lee County. At an early age, she started her Christian journey and joined Elizabeth Baptist Church, where she was a very active member throughout her life, until her health began to fail.

She met and married Arthur Burch. This union was blessed with a loving family and extended family.

Ms. Burch leaves behind an abundance of fond and loving memories that will forever be cherished by her three children, Gracie (Henry) Richardson of Sumter, Brenda (Sylvester) Isaac of Rembert and Arthur Burch of Newark, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Joe (Samantha) Pouge Jr. of Columbia, Sylvester Isaac Jr. of Marietta, Georgia, and Mary Isaac and Everlena Isaac of Rembert; five great-grandchildren; two special friends that stuck by her side, Sister Maggie Harmon and Jennie White; a host of nieces, nephews and family friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 24 Carrol Drive, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Walker Avenue Church of God, 100 S. Walker Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Bobby G. Damon, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. for viewing until time of services.

The procession will leave at 10:30 a.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Corbett Cemetery, Bishopville.
