Funeral services for Ernest McMillan will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Holiness Church, 869 Weeks St., Sumter, with Minister Thomasina Moses officiating. Interment will follow in Mayesville Cemetery in Mayesville.

The public may view from noon to 5 p.m. today at Palmer Memorial Chapel, 304 S. Main St., Sumter.
Mr. McMillan will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Ernest McMillan transitioned on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia.
Born in Mayesville, he was a son of Ruth Moses. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He was married to Catherine Favor McMillan of Sumter. McMillan was first employed by JCPenney and later Gold Kist companies. He was a faithful member of St. John Holiness Church of Sumter.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Catherine McMillan; three children, Boris H. (Satoshi) Favor, Melissia R. Favor and Michael L. Favor, all of Sumter; five grandchildren; 11 siblings, Minister Thomasina Moses, Thomas (Velma) Moses, James (Mary) Moses, Rosa Wheeler, Jann Moses, Elizabeth Moses, Minister Carolyn (Carl) Williams, Henry Moses, Jackie (Sarah) Moses, Monique Moses and Willie Moses, all of Sumter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
