SUMMERTON - Doris Ann Thompson Goldsberry, 79, wife of Ralph Edward Goldsberry, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018.

Born on Sept. 24, 1939, in The Plains, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Earl Thomas Thompson and Neva Hawk Thompson. She was a member of the Manning United Methodist Church Quilting Club and a member of The Plains United Methodist Church in Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of Summerton; three sons, Michael Goldsberry (Kristi) of Hickory, North Carolina, Earl Thomas Goldsberry (Cheryl) of Cheraw and Jack Goldsberry (Julie) of Spencer, Ohio; two sisters, Barbara Farley of Logan, Ohio, and Donna Skinner (Ray) of St. Louisville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Mia, Thomas, Jackie, Matthew, Grace, Kayleigh and Karina; and four great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Lexie, Jamie and Chelsee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Allen Goldsberry; a great-grandson, Carver Goldsberry; and two brothers, Jack Thompson and William Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Kem Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.

A visitation, memorial service and burial will be held on Saturday at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio.
