Cox-Sowards

Richard and Sherry Cox of Dalzell announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison RayAnn Cox of Dalzell, to Garrett Hunter Sowards of Merritt Island, Florida, son of Bradford and Stephanie Sowards of Melbourne, Florida.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth Cox and the late Mr. Charles Cox of MacArthur, West Virginia, and Mrs. Virginia McMillen and the late Mr. Joe McMillen of Beckley, West Virginia. She graduated from Crestwood High School in 2016 and from Columbia College in 2020. She is employed as a seventh-grade English teacher at Greenville Middle Academy in Greenville.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Vernie and Mrs. Vernese Sowards of Jackson, Michigan, and the late Mr. Wyatt and Mrs. Joseph Mae McCutcheon of White Sulphur, West Virginia. He graduated from Merritt Island Christian School in 2011 and Liberty University in 2015. He is employed as a financial analyst at WestRock in Cowpens.

The wedding is planned for Feb. 13, 2021, in Greenville.
