SUMMERTON - On Nov. 1, Clarendon Hall's Dawn Hodges and Sonya Seitz received the SCISA (South Carolina Independent School Association) Co-Administrative Assistant of the Year Award. This is the first time two honorees were named. They were presented the award by SCISA Executive Director Dr. Spencer Jordan at the Fall Headmaster's Conference held at The Stables at The Inn at the Crossroads in Lake City.

Seitz has been with Clarendon Hall for 12 years and serves as the business manager. Hodges has been the school's administrative assistant for 10 years. In submitting their names for the award, Clarendon Hall Headmaster Phillip Rizzo Jr. said, "I cannot nominate one without nominating the other as they (we) work as a team. My nomination, therefore, is for co-administrative assistants. Thinking of a few descriptive adjectives, I would say dependable (extremely!), efficient, reliable, insightful and loyal. They possess two distinct personalities but blend together like coffee and cream. The great thing is they give me two different perspectives while working toward the same goal, and that is for the betterment of the school. My success, if any, at Clarendon Hall is because we work as a cohesive team, and I nominate both for the Administrative Assistant Award."
