COLUMBIA - Parker Margaret Chappell and Michael Lovell Rouse were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at The Lace House.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxie Dennis Chappell, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Parker and the late Mr. Robert Chappell and Ms. Carolyn Bradley, all of Sumter. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is employed as catering sales manager at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Columbia.

The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. Michael Ellis Rouse of Moncks Corner and Ms. Julia Carolyn Lovell of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Rouse of Bennettsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Lovell of Conway. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He is employed as inventory manager at Capitol Chevrolet.

The Rev. Kevin Roberts officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by The Columbia Strings Quartet.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a stunning A-line Jasmine gown of chantilly lace with the classic elegance of long sleeves and the modern romance of a plunging back. She carried a cascading bouquet of eucalyptus, ivory and blush garden roses and succulents.

Mrs. Emily Langford Isley served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Megan Elizabeth Maberry, Ms. Chelsea Kathleen Vail, Mrs. Miranda Jean Scofield and Mrs. Grayson Miller Hopp. Eva Ruth Scofield served as flower girl.

Mr. Nathan Ellis Rouse served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Adrian Player Chappell, Mr. Brett Justin Kent, Mr. Michael Christopher Spawn and Mr. Steven Andrew Sancho. Wagner James Edward Duke served as ring bearer.

Mr. and Mrs. Maxie Dennis Chappell held the reception at the Lace House.

The Rev. and Mrs. Michael Ellis Rouse held the rehearsal party at The Big Apple in Columbia.

Following a wedding trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, the couple will reside in Columbia.
