Rep. Will Wheeler, D-Bishopville, and partner of Jennings and Jennings, P.A., is one of 21 new Liberty Fellows, according to a news release from Liberty Fellowship. Liberty Fellowship is a statewide leadership initiative founded by Anna Kate and Hayne Hipp, Wofford College and The Aspen Institute, which seeks to inspire outstanding leadership in South Carolina, empowering the state's leaders to realize their full potential and move the state forward.

Liberty Fellowship exposes accomplished leaders to diverse perspectives, critical thinking and intellectual and personal development. Each new fellow has logged significant hours engaging on important issues such as food and housing access, health care, infrastructure and the criminal justice system, according to the release. Their commitment strengthens the collective impact of the network and brings the total number of fellows to more than 300 across the state.

"Representing some of South Carolina's most important industries and endeavors, these fellows have a track record of moving the needle," commented Ann Marie Stieritz, interim chief executive officer of Liberty Fellowship. "The Liberty Fellowship experience will expand on the creative ideas of a varied group like this to bring a collaborative approach to solving South Carolina's most pressing challenges."
