ARTHUR C. SCOGGINS

Arthur C. "Charlie" Scoggins, 85, husband of Kathryn J. Scoggins, died on Friday, March 15, 2019, at his home.

Born on Sept. 30, 1933, in Washington, Georgia, he was a son of the late Arthur C. and Susie Beatrice Corbert Scoggins. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of service and was a Vietnam War veteran. He also retired from Cooper Tools.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years; three children, Kristi Jones (Tim) of Sumter, Jimmy Scoggins (Tracy) of California and Lori Magazin (Bill) of Utah; six grandchildren, Brennan Jones, Landon Jones, Peter Scoggins, Rachel Scoggins, Tom Magazin (Amber) and Sarah Yannetta (Chris); two great-grandchildren, Madeline Yannetta and Everly Yannetta; a sister, Susie Brenizer; and a brother, Fred Scoggins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Tyler Scoggins.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
