Funeral services for Anthony Eugene Pringle will be held at noon today at Palmer Memorial Chapel, 304 S. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Vonshurrii Wrighten officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery, Sumter.

Mr. Pringle will be placed in the chapel at 11 a.m. for public and final viewing until the hour of service.

Anthony Pringle, 63, transitioned on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey, Sumter. He was a son of the late Manning and Juanita Glover Pringle and was a graduate of Sumter High School Class of 1973. He attended Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter. He was employed by Exide Battery Co., Sumter; O.T.R. Trucking Co.; The VA Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia; and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged.

Survivors include a son, Emanuel E. Pringle Sr. of Raleigh, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Emanuel E. Pringle II and Jeremiah J'mar McLamb; brother, Thomas C. Pringle Sr.; sisters, Theresa (Quintus Sr.) Wrighten and Felecia Pringle Maple, all of Sumter; nephews, Dr. Quintus F. Wrighten Sr. of Columbia, Anthony S. Wrighten of Sumter and Thomas C. Pringle Jr. of Richmond, Virginia; nieces, Kaila J l. Wrighten and Shanekia Pringle of Anderson and Ella Harley of Lithonia, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
