ANNA RUTH MCKNIGHT
Funeral services for Anna Ruth McKnight will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Mulberry Baptist Church, 1400 Mulberry Church Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Leroy Blanding, pastor, officiating. Internet will follow at the church cemetery.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Anna Ruth was born on April 28, 1936, in Sumter, to the late James and Otencia Gaymond Pringle. She was the widow of Willie H. McKnight Sr.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, six sisters and three brothers.
Anna Ruth departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, in Sumter.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters, Ella McKnight and Marion McKnight; two sons, Willie McKnight and Woodrow (Delores) McKnight Sr.; two sisters, Mary Mack and Odell Dukes; three sisters-in-law, Janie L. McKnight, Rosa M. McKnight and Earline McKnight; brother-in-law, Ramsey McKnight; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members that will be saddened by her passing.
The family is receiving friends at 424 Love St., Sumter.
