Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Damien Kyrell Waiters of Sumter on Friday afternoon.

Waiters, who was placed on the agency’s Most Wanted list, was located by deputies at a restaurant on Peach Orchard Road shortly after 2 p.m.

Waiters was being sought on first-degree burglary charges after an Aug. 13 incident, in which the suspect and others stole several TVs and electronic appliances from a home in the 2200 block of Kings Mountain Drive in Sumter.

Three other men involved in the incident last week were taken into custody shortly after the burglary after a traffic stop and subsequent manhunt near Broad Street Extension.

Waiters, who already faced multiple burglary charges for other alleged actions in 2014, has been transported to Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center to await a bond hearing on the most recent charge.
